Leadership of Qatari Diar Company

Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya | Minister of Municipality and Chairman

H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya joined Qatari Diar’s Board in 2017 and became CEO in 2018 before becoming Chairman in 2024. Moreover, he brings extensive leadership experience across Qatar’s real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, and development sectors. He previously served as Chairman of Barwa Real Estate Company and held leadership roles at Katara Hospitality and United Development Company.

He also supported major national development initiatives linked to Qatar National Vision 2030. His career also includes roles at Ashghal, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy. Furthermore, he holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University.

Sheikh Hamad Bin Talal Al-Thani | CEO of Qatari Diar

Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al-Thani is a prominent Qatari executive with strong experience in real estate development and project management. He joined Qatari Diar in 2009 and advanced through several leadership roles. Moreover, he became Chief Development and Project Delivery Officer for Asia and Africa in 2023 before becoming CEO in 2025.

He holds bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and International Business from MSA University and Middlesex University. In addition, he earned an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in Qatar, strengthening his business and leadership skills. He also serves on the boards of New Giza and QNB Egypt.
